Can you stream ITVX outside the UK?

ITV’s official help for watching abroad says live and on-demand ITVX programmes cannot be streamed outside the UK. It describes a permitted travel option for Premium subscribers: download eligible programmes to a supported mobile device before leaving the UK, then watch within the download’s availability period.

Check the particular programme and its status in the official app. Keep your account access organised before travelling and note the device you intend to use. A saved episode and a live channel need separate planning, especially when you expect to watch during a journey with unreliable internet.

Why can ITVX show a location or VPN message?

ITV’s location and VPN help page says detected VPN or proxy use can prevent playback. It also describes situations where an internet provider’s registered IP location can appear outside the UK. Follow ITV’s current guidance for your actual location and connection.

Read the message carefully before changing unrelated settings. A broadcaster’s location response, a programme restriction and a failed internet connection are different symptoms.
